My work on Metal


 Bench Drill
This using for drilling hole though included metals, wood, plastics. The larger machine is called a pillar drill.

Safety:
1. Always wear goggles.
2. Always use guard provided.
3. Always wear an apron.
4. Always have hair tied back.
5. Always keep tie tucked in.
6.No loose items. e.g. bracelets.
7. Be aware of where the emergency off button is.
8. One person should use the machine at any one time.

Buffing Machine:
The Buffing Machine or Polishing Machine is used to polish soft metals including copper and brass as well as plastics such as perspex. The two 'mops' spin at high speed when the 'on' switch is pressed.

Safety:
1. Check workspaces and walkways to ensure no slip/trip hazards are present.
 2. Locate and ensure you are familiar with the operation of the ON/OFF starter.
3. Both ends of the machine spindle must be covered at all times. 4. Use appropriate mop type and polishing compound for the task.
Image result for vernier5. Faulty equipment must not be used. Immediately report suspect equipment.


Vernier:
A small movable graduated scale for obtaining fractional parts of subdivisions on a fixed main scale of a barometer, sextant, or other measuring instruments.



Equipment to make F shape:

  • Saw
  • Metal file
  • Ruler
  • Hammer
  • Hacksaw
  • Sandpaper
  • Nail Punch
  • Engineers blue
